don't suffer anymore. If you were like me and opened and closed every cabinet door in the kitchen about 10 times and still couldn't find anything to hit the spot, I think I might have something for you. I called my Mom and got the recipe for No Bake Cookies. This just so happens to be a recipe from one of the greatest bakers I know, Faye Gold. She taught my Mom all of her cookie secrets, and she in turn taught me. Sooooooooooooooooo...........
You may have this recipe. Don't rub it in if you do.
But if you don't, you do now.
I also have two of them in my tummy at this very moment.
enjoy!
No Bake Cookies (When Nothing Else Will Do)
1/4 C. butter
2 C. sugar
1/2 C. milk
3 TBS. cocoa
1/3 C. peanut butter
Bring these ingredients to a boil, and then cut the heat. Add 3 cups of quick oats and 1 tsp. of vanilla. Spoon out a dallop of these onto some tin foil. Then try not to burn your tongue as you impatiently attempt to eat them before they are set.

MMMMM...I remember the no bakes. That is a good recipe. I'll have to see if I have it already seeings how my printer isn't hooked up to my computer. MMMMM...now I'm hungry. No wonder my Baby cries when she wants food, it's really uncomfortable!!!
Those have always been one of my favorites. I could never eat just two!
Even though sugar doesn't like me any more, if I would have been at your house last night I would have had one myself. But not two!
ahhhhhh, this is a regular at our house. we call it chocolate soup. it never makes it to cookies on some foil to cool. we eat it hot straight from the pan. IT IS SOOO GOOD! Whatever is left then becomes cookies. AS you can imagine when eating it this way, uhm, you probably eat about six. :) Did I mention IT IS SO GOOD! Had I known I would have introduced this to a long time ago. (We keep all these ingredients in our food storage.)
I'm glad you like the cookies. Nancy Boyer makes hers with brown sugar and they always turn out so good but I can't get mine to taste like hers. Next you will have to try the killer cookies. I will try to post the recipe on my blog.
P.S. Kay was always so good to just eat one little bit of cookie dough and just a cookie or two. That would explain why she looks like she does and I look like I do!!!
Darn that Kay Cruze and her self-control. I wish I were eat one or two kind of girl. I guess I am. I eat one or two dozen cookies. :)
Katie, I sent the ch chunk cookie recipe to your mom to forward on to you. It calls for milk ch chunks which I usually find at Krogers. However if I don't have those I just use the chips. Enjoy!!
I remember Austin making these for us to take to a Chic-Fil-A Christmas party once. Do you remember? Mmmmmm. You made bean dip. Fancy you. But, wasn't he allergic to them or something?
I LOVE No Bake Cookies. We use to make them every Sunday growing up. The Miller's would come over for or after dinner and LeGrand, Stori & I would make a batch. I'm so happy you love them too!!
I am snowed in today and these are exactly what I need - pregnant and bored = no bake cookies! (And no one else here to stop me from eating them all!)
