Valentine's Gift Idea

I know those of you who are on the ball are already thinking of what to get those hubbies. I saw a great idea on this cool blog. You should check it out. I gave one to Noah about 6 years ago. It is a Man Pit.

Here's how you make it. Just designate an area of about 6 feet by 2 feet to him. That's it! No scissors, no glue, no glitter, no paper, no sewing. You might want to put a sign out since this is a gift. You know, something catchy like, "You are amazing! Have This!" or "Isn't this what you've always wanted?"

Then you just let him fill it up with whatever he wants. Noah likes to keep his extra clothes, crossword puzzles, and pens in his Man Pit. It is the one area where I don't clean. If he wants to he can, but he never has to. I even help him decorate his Pit by adding items of his that I find throughout the house.

Now run along and make a Man Pit. He'll love you for it.

You are a GENIUS!!

So funny, Katie. Conan has a little bitty Man Pit. It's a basket. Full of...man stuff. I don't touch it. Maybe I should expand.

Or I could just stop organizing his jeans. He'd like that.

So that's what I gave him for Valentine's last year! It suddenly appeared and I knew it must have come from somwhere.

That is the funniest thing I've ever seen! We have those all over the house. When we were first married, Jeremy used to lay his clothes out like dead bodies in the guest room. He thought that was putting them away. Now, when I find his stuff scattered around, I shove it all in a grocery bag and set in the garage....he really hates that...so I'll give the man pit a go!

You know you have a dirty mind when you are reading about a man's valentine's gift and you automatically put the letter "i" in pens. naughty naughty....I had to use my old context trick to make sense of that sentence and read the actual written word.

Love the idea. LG doesn't have a pit....he has the whole house.....and a basket for all his little papers and stuff that I don't know what to do with.

I love love love your confession though...pretty awesome if you ask me...I am always looking to read something confessional in the blogging world...instead of how cute everybody's kids are.
