The Boys and I decided to take Friday off. We called in sick to work and took a jaunt into the city.
We stopped at the playground to play.
But decided to chase pigeons instead.
Ate our lunch.
Took a ferry to Governor's island and took advantage of Free Bike Fridays.
We smiled at the feeling of the wind blowing through our hair.
Found a cool "cave" and climbed in.
Jumped out.
Finished exploring the island and went back to Manhattan to wait for Noah at the ferry terminal.
While there we wrestled . . . .
. . . and hung upside down.
And went home for a big, fat nap.
It was a good day.

ahhhh, i love days like this. free bike fridays? i love new york. so jealous. and where the crap is calvin sitting? is their another seat? i spelled there wrong just to drive your english major mind crazy. but then i couldn't just leave it and make you think that i don't know which there, they're, their to use. i might as well delete it now that i had to explain myself. i wish i would just shut up.
Shhhhhh.....don't tell. Calvin wasn't sitting on the seat. He was crunched between Calvin's baby seat and my bike seat. He just hung on to me. I know, I know. Not too safe, but way fun.
That looks like so very much fun. I love days like that where my kids are enjoying themselves right and left and then fall in bed exaughsted. You're a great mom and a wonderful inspiration.
I am just SO amazed that you took a picture, while driving a bike, with two kids on the back...that deserves some sort of major award!
i've said it before...hey jealousy.
Oh yes my friend, a fun day just chillin' in NYC. I love sleepy kids too.
